The Port Event Space is located in beautiful downtown Port Hope in an updated historic building featuring a minimalist aesthetic lending a unique and on-trend venue for your next stylish event. Our large space has an industrial feel with beautiful tall white cinder-bricked walls and exposed ceilings, concrete floors, large windows and a bright open floor plan that can be customized to suit your needs.


With its blank canvas backdrop, The Port Event Space can be transformed according to your vision. Leave it light and airy or divide the space using curtains or partitions into smaller, more intimate areas. The Port is fully equipped with state of the art sound and visual systems, dimmable lighting and Wi-Fi.


We host all kinds of lively gatherings at The Port Event Space. From engagement parties to intimate weddings, birthdays to anniversaries, corporate events to product launches, holiday parties to seasonal markets, and everything in between. Let our professional design staff help you create a one-of-a-kind event that your guests will not forget.


The Port Event Space has partnered with local caterers and spirited vendors. Our partners were chosen for their delicious cuisine, flexibility in working with clients, use of local, sustainable and organic ingredients (whenever possible). Your chosen caterer for your event will provide all staff including a lead server on site for the contracted venue rental time.

The Port Event Space will be a fully licensed space that will provide in-house, Smart-Serve certified bartenders. The Port has a fully equipped bar that is sure to please all guests.



Monday to Thursday

The Port Event Space rental includes 10 hours of access on Monday through Thursday. Additional consecutive hours, if available, maybe rented for $150 per hour. The latest available time block is 1pm – 11pm.

Monday thru Thursday (full day): $2,500

Monday thru Thursday (half day): $1,500

Friday to Sunday

The Port Event Space rental includes 12 hours of access on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Additional consecutive hours, if available, maybe rented for $200 per hour. The latest available time block is 1pm – 1am.

Friday: $3,000

Saturday: $3,500

Sunday: $3,000

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your date. The remaining 50% due two weeks prior to the date of your event. A $1,000 damage deposit is required at the time of signing your event contract (but is fully refundable if no damages are incurred at your event). Both initial deposits are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.

Venue rental items, including, but not limited to, tables, chairs, linens and tableware are available for a fee.

Municipal parking lot directly beside The Port Event Space. There is plenty of additional parking on the main street.


Depending on the type of event you are holding, The Port can accommodate capacity of;

A cocktail style event; 150 standing guests

A concert or dance party; 250 standing guests

A full sit down meal service; 120 seated guests

A theatre or corporate event; 200 seated guests

Elegant room dividers are available to provide a more intimate event over open concept (allowing for smaller, catered dinner parties, or customized corporate events that allow for breakout groups.
